Mount Kailash & Western Tibet
Mount Kailash is sacred to Buddhists, Hindus, Jains and Bonpo. It can be reached via a 6 day drive from Lhasa or 5 days from Kathmandu. The 53km circumambulation of the mountain takes place at over 5000m and takes 3 days, either camping or staying overnight in the basic monastery guest houses.
