What I most liked about Gopal is, that he is a "quiet" person and not one of the guides how pushes you into going out/party etc.

Tibet isn't a place for this and therefore I liked that Gopal stayed "behind" and left us freedom. But I also had to say that even when he was "behind" he always got or sensed everything what was up within the group. He was just great!!! He also managed a critical situation exellent: Due to a landslide in the gorge before Zangmou we got stocked in the middle of the night and didn't get any informations from the Chinese Road workers.

Therefore we didn't know if we had to stay the night in the car. Gopal found a way over the landslide (bit dangerous) and organised taxis to Zangmou. He did a very good job in this critical situation and also the group was very easy about it. I would definitely recommend Royal Mountain Travel for trip to Tibet.

Passionate, enthusiastic, knowledgeable when talking or explaining stuff to the group or person. Caring, thoughtful and conscientious when everyone suffered illness (AMS). Kept a close eye on each person for AMS symptoms and kept assessing our health. Clearly an intelligent leader with a great sense of humour. Never needed/wanted for anything. Also did something unusual for Royal Mountain Travel leaders - kept going into the kitchens and helped cook food to make sure no-one suffered food poisoning. Baikuntha is great leader !!!

Puskar was very helpful in local customs and how to get around. He went beyond our expectations in Lhasa as we expected to have to go to Monetaries etc by self organisation. Puskar not only esured that we were not ripped off by the taxi drivers, but organised one group activity for each day.
